Langkawi is considered as one of the most beautiful Asian islands. I totally agree!
Langkawi is located at the north-western part of peninsular Malaysia and on Andaman Sea, adjacent to the Thai border.
We stayed in the Casa Idaman motel, in the most touristic part of the island – Pantai Cenang. The taxi fees in Langkawi are fixed – from the airport to our hotel we paid 25 MYR.
Why is Langkawi worth visiting?
First of all, because of the wide, white beach with soft sand and warm (but also chilling) sea. Anytime you can find the comfortable spot for yourself under the palm trees or the umbrella, if you want to rent the sun beds.
I took a loooot of pictures of the beach because I really enjoyed the view :)
Secondly, because this is the land of eagles and you can even have the chance to feed them during the island hopping tour!
The island hopping program includes visiting Dayang Bunting Marble Geoforest Park with the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden (Pulau Dayang Bunting), then stop near Pulau Singa Besar to feed the eagles and at the end Pulau Beras Basah to relax on the white beach and cool down in the blue water. For the whole trip we paid 25 MYR + 6 MYR the entrance to the geoforest park.
When we arrived to the start point, we could by our pictures taken before the trip. Usually we are not interested in this kind of souvenirs, but this time we couldn’t resist – just look at it!
Another argument why Langkawi is worth visiting?
Because of the sunsets… No comment needed, just admire :)
Wait for more ;)
